Do I need a visa or passport to enter Mexico?
Yes, a valid passport is needed to enter Mexico. Check your country of origin for any other requirements, such as a visa.

How many participants are in the program?
There are no more than 8 participants per program. This allows for a more conducive learning environment and stronger group dynamics.

What is the weather like in Puerto Escondido?
During the summer months, the weather is hot ranging in the 80-90s F and high 20-30s C. The rest of the year averages mid 70s-80s F and mid 20s to low 30s C.

What should I pack?
Learning experiences are casual and held both indoor and outdoor. The sun is intense and the weather is humid. Pack comfortable walking shoes, casualwear, beachwear, sandals, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection. Bring or purchase sunscreen and mosquito spray. Don’t forget a water bottle!

What currency is accepted in Mexico?
The Mexican peso (MXP) is the accepted form of currency in Mexico. Some locations may accept the United States dollar (USD) at a rate determined by location.
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are generally accepted at most locations. Consider notifying your bank of your international travel.

Is a currency exchange available?
ATMs located within Mexican international airports dispense Mexican pesos when you withdraw funds from your bank account. You may also find a currency exchange kiosk at some locations.
There are a few banks within Puerto Escondido including Santander and HSBC.

Puerto Escondido is in Central Standard Time year-round.

Is Puerto Escondido a safe place to visit?
Puerto Escondido is a relatively safe place but all visitors should heed caution and pay attention to their surroundings to protect from theft and accidental injury due to the many motorbikes in the area.
Onsite accommodations have either hotel security in place or standard security within a private residence.

Is there internet access and cell phone coverage?
The hotel or villa has free Wi-Fi access, as do most locations around town.

What are the accommodations?
Participants stay in a 4-star resort or private villa with single occupancy rooms (double occupancy may be necessary when single rooms are no longer available).
